The Secondary School Tough Guy and Gal Challenge features a course designed to test resilience and teamwork among students. Set in the natural environs of Camp Wainui, participants navigate a variety of obstacles including water trails, a spider web net climb, and a mudslide. Additional challenges include crawling under barbed wire, crossing a wire rope bridge, and traversing through native bush trails, paddocks, and swamps, all of which are integral to the rugged character of the course.
This event not only offers a physical challenge but also provides an educational opportunity, as students have the chance to earn NCEA Level 2 and Level 3 credits through their participation. The atmosphere is vibrant, fostering a spirit of camaraderie and school pride among participants.
