The inaugural Ultra Wanaka event features a flagship 50K Ultra, alongside a Half Marathon and an 11.5km trail run.
Participants will traverse fast and scenic courses along well-maintained single track, with routes that meander beside the Upper Clutha River and the Wānaka lakefront. Each course is designed as a point-to-point experience, with the 50km and Half Marathon starting from Dublin Bay, while the 11.5km run begins at the Hikūwai Conservation Area.
The event hub and finish line is located on Wānaka’s lakefront, providing a picturesque setting for post-race activities. It is important to note that there will be mandatory bus transport from the event hub to the respective start lines for all distances. This logistical arrangement facilitates smooth transitions for participants and enhances the overall race experience.
