Course Overview
The Buller Gorge Marathon features a picturesque route starting at Hawks Crag. Participants will travel up the Buller Gorge to a turnaround near Berlin’s Hotel, then return along the undulating Buller Gorge Highway to finish at Victoria Square in Westport.

Additional Race Events:
– Half Marathon:This event begins near the Ohika-iti River Bridge and shares the same finish line at Victoria Square, offering runners a straightforward, scenic route.
– Marathon Team Relay: This relay event allows teams of four to participate in the full marathon course, promoting teamwork and participation.
– Buller Heritage Course: Set on the Kawatiri Coastal Trail, this course includes flat gravel paths, timber boardwalks, and bridges, providing a unique running experience through natural landscapes.

Each race is designed to showcase different aspects of the region’s natural beauty, from river vistas to coastal trails, ensuring a diverse experience for all participants.
