For race organisers

NZ Running lists running events across New Zealand so runners can find them. Listing your race is free, and so is looking after its page. Who runs NZ Running

1. List your race

Send us the details through the event form. We check every submission before it goes live, and the email you give us is how we reach you about it.

Submit your race

2. Claim its page

Already listed? Open your race’s page and choose Claim this race at the foot of it. You will need a free account. Once we approve the claim:

  • the page shows a Claimed badge beside its title;
  • you can send us corrections and new details directly, and we make the change for you;
  • you are the person we contact about the listing.

We check every claim before approving it. Claiming is free and always will be.

3. Make it your Official race page

For races without a website of their own, or with one that is hard to keep up to date, we can turn the listing into the race’s official page. It is marked Official race page, and it can carry:

  • the race-day schedule and what your entry includes;
  • an FAQ and notes on getting there;
  • you as the organiser, with your contact details;
  • past editions and a photo gallery;
  • a short link for flyers and QR codes.

The page leaves out the other races we would normally suggest alongside yours, so it is about your race and nothing else.

We are starting with a small number of races. If you would like yours to be one of them, email us.

Ground rules

These hold for every race on the site, whatever its page is:

  • Reviews stay. Runners’ reviews show on every race page, including official ones. An organiser cannot hide or remove them.
  • Nothing skips review. Every change to a listing is checked before it goes live, whoever sends it.
  • An official page is by agreement. We never mark a page as official without the organiser asking for it, and either of us can switch it back to an ordinary listing.
  • Anything paid for is labelled. If a race ever appears somewhere because someone paid for it, the place it appears says so.

Our Terms of Use cover listings and claims in full.
