Ian Priest Memorial Hutt River Trail

– The Ian Priest Memorial Hutt River Trail event features a variety of courses, all of which follow a scenic route from Cross Creek in the Wairarapa, traversing over the Rail Trail and along the Hutt River. The trail extends from the foothills of the Rimutaka Mountains at Kaitoke to the estuary at McEwan Park by Wellington Harbour.

– Participants can choose to run or walk these off-road courses, benefiting from a well-marked trail. The path includes diverse terrains such as bush tracks, grass, gravel, sealed footpaths, and some unsealed vehicle tracks.

– Notably, the marathon course incorporates approximately 5km of public road, which occurs in the early sections of the race.
