About this course
This adventure run takes participants along the renowned Routeburn Track, situated within the World Heritage-listed Fiordland National Park. The course features a point-to-point layout that showcases the stunning natural beauty of the region, including diverse terrains that transition from lush native bush to exposed alpine landscapes.
Runners will encounter significant elevation changes, with demanding uphill sections and challenging descents. The technical nature of the track includes rocky paths and tree roots, requiring careful navigation. The final descent leads participants through native forest alongside rivers and waterfalls, creating a scenic backdrop as they approach the finish line.
The event maintains an intimate atmosphere with a limited entry of 400 participants, fostering a sense of community among runners while celebrating the stunning environment.
