ASICS Runaway Hawke’s Bay Marathon

The ASICS Runaway Hawke’s Bay Marathon will take place on Saturday, 16 May 2026, in Napier, Hawke’s Bay. The event includes several race options:

• Marathon

• Half Marathon

• 10km Run

• Kids’ Fun Run

Marathon Course

The marathon starts at Anderson Park in Greenmeadows. It’s a flat course with mixed terrain:

• 50% smooth limestone trails

• 50% sealed roads and paths

Runners will enjoy coastal views and pass iconic landmarks like:

• Pania of the Reef

• National Aquarium

• Spirit of Napier

The course goes through the Waitangi Estuary at Clive with ocean views toward Cape Kidnappers, and finishes at the stunning Elephant Hill Estate & Winery.

Half Marathon

The half marathon begins on Marine Parade in Napier and joins the full marathon route at Waitangi Regional Park.

Post-Race

After the run, participants can enjoy local amenities and explore the scenic Hawke’s Bay region.
