Auckland, Devonport to Victoria Park
The race
This running event features a variety of distances to accommodate a range of participants, including a Marathon, Half Marathon, 11km Traverse, 5km Challenge, and a Kids’ Marathon.
The Full and Half Marathon courses begin in Devonport, guiding runners through Takapuna and onto the Northern Busway. A notable highlight is the crossing of the Auckland Harbour Bridge, offering expansive views of the Waitematā Harbour and Rangitoto Island. After descending into the city, the routes split at Westhaven Marina, with Half Marathon participants concluding at Victoria Park near the central business district. Marathon runners continue on an out-and-back segment along the waterfront to St Heliers Bay before returning to the city. Both courses are IAAF and AIMS certified, ensuring adherence to international standards.
The 11km course also includes a crossing over the Auckland Harbour Bridge, starting from Smales Farm, while the 5km Challenge begins at Wynyard Quarter and merges with part of the Marathon route through the city before reaching the finish line.
The atmosphere is enhanced by the “Party in the Park” post-race function, which features a corporate marquee village alongside various entertainment options, fostering community spirit and celebration.
