Feilding Festival of Running

• Historical Significance: The Feilding Marathon is notable for its long history, having been established in 1955 and occurring annually since then. It ranks as one of the longest-standing marathons globally.

• Team Participation Option: In addition to individual entries, the marathon offers a team option where two participants can share the distance, with a switch-over at the halfway point.

• Course Layout: The marathon and additional events feature an out-and-back route starting at Timona Park. The shorter events are designed as a family-friendly circuit within Timona Park, entirely on grass, catering specifically to families and younger participants.

• Community Impact: All proceeds from the event are used to support local community activities, including youth development and improvements to facilities and equipment. The event is primarily staffed by volunteers from the Feilding Moa Harrier Club and the Feilding Athletic Club, emphasizing community involvement and support.
