• The Jumbo Holdsworth Trail Race and Hooper Loop take place in the scenic Tararua Forest Park, known for its challenging terrain and beautiful natural landscapes.
• Participants have the choice between tackling the Jumbo-Holdsworth Circuit or the Holdsworth-Jumbo Circuit, with the direction for podium contenders set annually; in 2026, the clockwise Holdsworth to Jumbo direction is designated for competitive runners.
• These mountain endurance runs are designed for runners with good fitness levels and experience in mountain and trail environments.
• The Hooper Loop provides a shorter, yet engaging route primarily within forested areas, featuring graded tracks and a notable steep hill climb. This course is accessible for runners ranging from novice to elite, offering a diverse challenge.
• Each course direction offers unique views and terrain challenges, appealing to a variety of running enthusiasts.
