Kids’ Kaukau Challenge

The Kids’ Kaukau Challenge offers a scenic and moderately challenging route, ideal for young runners. The course begins and ends at Khandallah School, leading participants up to the summit of Mt Kaukau. Here, runners are rewarded with expansive views of the surrounding area, making the climb worthwhile. The track itself features a mix of bush-lined paths and open landscapes, providing both shade and space.

Post-race, the atmosphere at the school grounds is festive, with various celebrations that foster community spirit and allow for family and friends to gather in support of the young participants. This event emphasizes not just physical fitness but also community involvement and outdoor enjoyment for children and their families. An adult must accompany runners under the age of 8, ensuring safety for the youngest participants throughout the event.
