Set within the picturesque McLeans Forest Regional Park, the McLeans Forest Run features a series of trail courses that allow participants to explore scenic areas of the forest not typically open to runners. The courses are designed as single loops and incorporate a variety of terrain, including established walking tracks and mixed-use paths suitable for cycling and walking.
The Half Marathon and 10km routes include a 1.6km section of grassed track, providing a different texture underfoot. The event caters to a range of abilities, making it accessible for both experienced runners and those new to trail running.
The atmosphere is characterized by a supportive community spirit, with participants often expressing camaraderie as they navigate the forest trails together. The event encourages local involvement, fostering a sense of connection between runners and the surrounding environment.
