The Raetihi Gutbuster, scheduled for 12 April 2025, offers participants an opportunity to appreciate the scenic landscapes and rich history of the Raetihi-Pipiriki road, nestled between the Tongariro and Whanganui National Parks.
The races commence and conclude at the Waimarino Museum in Raetihi, with routes designed as out-and-back courses. One course takes runners down the Raetihi-Pipiriki Road and back, while another street circuit course is designed with families in mind. There is also a road biking event included.
The event area will host a market day atmosphere, complete with food and beverage stalls, as well as local crafts. The events available include a half marathon and a road cycling event.
