About this course
Set against the backdrop of the breathtaking Coromandel Peninsula, this event showcases challenging trails that weave through lush native bush and offer stunning ridgeline views.
The revamped 24km course features a significant elevation gain, reaching its highest point at 527m, followed by a predominantly downhill route, with a total elevation change of 1260m. This provides participants with a mix of demanding climbs and flowing descents that highlight the area’s natural beauty.
The returning 12km option also presents a formidable challenge, with over 500m of elevation gain across its course. Runners can expect a blend of rewarding ascents, picturesque trails, and immersive views of the surrounding landscape.
The event is hosted at the privately owned White Star Station, known for its panoramic coastal vistas. Participants have the option to camp overnight, fostering a sense of community, and can enjoy an after-party that features a bonfire, marshmallows, and a relaxed atmosphere filled with camaraderie.
