Sri Chinmoy Sumner Esplanade 3

The Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team in Christchurch, New Zealand, organizes a succession of running events at Sumner Esplanade. The final race of the series is slated for 27 July 2025.

The course of each event is a flat, out-and-back route along the Esplanade walkway, originating from the clock tower. The number of laps varies depending on the event.

The event is inclusive, allowing parents or caregivers to accompany children during the race at no additional cost.

The organizer of the event series is Sri Chinmoy Christchurch. The series is known as the Self-Transcendence Sumner Esplanade. The last race before the final event will take place on 29 June 2025.

The events include races specifically designed for children under 13 and other categories that require multiple laps.
