29–31 January 2027
Timaru, Redruth Park
The race
Set against the backdrop of the Otipua Wetlands, this trail running event features a 6.3km loop course that is primarily smooth and flat, with a gentle incline in the middle section. Participants can choose to run, walk, or crawl as many laps as possible within designated time limits of 3, 6, 12, 24, or 48 hours.
The 24 and 48-hour formats allow for both solo participation and relay teams of 2-4 runners, with only one member on the course at any given time. This structure encourages both individual endurance and team camaraderie.
The event is based at Redruth Park, which serves as a hub for logistics and community interaction. The atmosphere is typically supportive, with a focus on personal achievement and community spirit, drawing a diverse range of participants from seasoned ultrarunners to those looking to experience the challenge at their own pace.
