Wanaka
The race
Ultra Wanaka returns on 24 April 2027 with its flagship 50K Ultra plus Half Marathon and 11.5km trail runs.
The courses are fast and scenic, on runnable flowing, well-maintained single track along the Upper Clutha River and Wānaka lakefront.
All routes are point-to-point courses, with the 50km and Half Marathon starting from Dublin Bay and the 11.5km at Hikūwai Conservation Area.
The event hub and finish line is on Wānaka’s lakefront. There is mandatory bus transport from the race hub to to the start line for all distances.
This is a cup-free event – bring your own cup/water bottle for refilling at aid stations during the race.
