The Butterfly Fun Run takes place at The Groynes Reserve in Christchurch, coinciding with Baby Loss Awareness Week. This event features a 6km course that offers participants a scenic experience through the natural landscape of the reserve.
Hosted by Miscarriage Matters NZ, the run/walk aims to promote awareness surrounding miscarriage while fostering a supportive community atmosphere. The event encourages participation from a wide range of individuals, with prizes awarded for the first three finishers, as well as for the best dressed, alongside various spot prizes.
Miscarriage Matters NZ, a not-for-profit organization, is dedicated to raising awareness of miscarriage and providing resources and support for those affected, including care packages and assistance for midwives and other maternity carers.
