About this course
The Hibiscus Half Marathon features a course that showcases the natural beauty of the Orewa area, starting from Metro Park in Millwater. Runners will experience the scenic Orewa River and the Te Ara Tahuna Walkway, which enhance the route’s appeal. The course also ventures into downtown Orewa, allowing participants to run alongside one of Auckland’s longest beaches via the newly completed Millennium Walkway. Along the way, competitors will navigate under the Hibiscus Coast Highway and through charming local streets and parks, adding to the atmosphere of the event.
In addition to the Half Marathon, the event offers a 5km and 10km option, along with a Kids’ event, fostering community involvement and encouraging participation across various age groups and abilities. The event is part of the Auckland Half Marathon Series, promoting a series of running experiences throughout the year.
