The Sea 2 Sky Challenge is a diverse sports event set to take place in Christchurch on 16 March 2025. This multifaceted challenge includes an ocean swim, a hilly bicycle ride, and a scenic run, with an alternative option available for duathletes to replace the swim with a flat run. Individual and team relay options are available, along with special events for children.
Included in the Sea 2 Sky Challenge is a Trail Run event. This new route is predominantly trail-based and offers stunning views over Lyttelton Harbour. The trail commences from the top of Evans Pass, connecting to the Crater Rim track and concluding at Godley Head. The event can be participated in as a team of two, with the first runner covering the initial leg to Godley Head and the second completing the stretch from Godley Head to Scarborough.
