• The James Mountain Sport Series spans a weekend and features a variety of challenging trail running events. This includes a multisport option.
• Participants can expect a demanding mountainous terrain with multiple river crossings and sections without a physical track, enhancing the adventure aspect.
• The courses have an average altitude of 850 meters, with peaks just over 1300 meters, requiring runners to be semi-self-sufficient.
• The series is part of the Southern Seasons Challenge and follows the Great Naseby Water Race in the series timeline.
• Specific events include the Alpine Adventure Race, which combines swimming, kayaking, mountain biking, and trail running.
