Wanaka, Wanaka Watersports Facility
The race
The TriWanaka Swim Run Series features a sequence of six summer aquathon events set against the picturesque backdrop of the Wanaka Watersports Facility. Participants can choose from multiple course options tailored for different age groups and skill levels, including adults and youth aged 16 years and older, with designated shorter courses for younger competitors.
The course design includes a mix of swimming and running segments, allowing participants to engage in a range of distances. Unique to this series is the inclusion of swim-only options, catering to those who may prefer to focus solely on the aquatic aspect.
The atmosphere is generally vibrant and community-oriented, encouraging local involvement and fostering a sense of camaraderie among competitors. Participants are advised to prepare for the event by bringing wetsuits, running shoes, and a picnic rug to enjoy the summer setting. This event not only promotes physical fitness but also provides a social platform for families and friends to come together and celebrate the joys of outdoor activity.
