A scenic coastal trail heading north along the cliffs of Long Bay Regional Park, with wide views out across the Hauraki Gulf. It's not technical, rolling and gentle underfoot, which makes it a relaxed, family-friendly change from road running and a longstanding North Shore favourite, especially through summer. Run the coastal walkway out and back to suit the distance you want, anywhere from 5 to 10 km.
Free parking at the beach, with toilets near the start. It gets busy on summer weekends, so early mornings are quieter. Part of the reserve borders a marine reserve.
The route starts at Long Bay Regional Park car park.
8 km (out & back).
