Marina 2 Marina

The Marina 2 Marina event is scheduled for 27 September 2025 in Picton, located within the scenic Marlborough Sounds. This annual running event features a variety of courses that traverse the picturesque trails connecting Picton, Waikawa, and Anakiwa, showcasing the region’s natural beauty.

Participants can choose from several options, including a challenging run that begins at Anakiwa Bay and includes steep climbs rewarded with panoramic views. A shorter course follows the easy terrain of the Picton to Waikawa track, catering to novice runners and walkers. For younger participants, the event includes a 2km Kids Dash designed for children aged 5 to 9, set in the flat area of the Picton Marina carpark.

Throughout the race, drink and refreshment stations are available to support participants. The event culminates at London Quay, where a festival atmosphere is created with market stalls and entertainment, offering an engaging experience for both runners and spectators. The Marina 2 Marina event highlights the stunning landscapes of the Marlborough region while promoting community engagement through its festive activities.
