
The Rugged Rogaine Series invites participants to engage in an exploration of the Waikato countryside through a unique adventure sport format. The event takes place in a scenic environment characterized by forestry and farmland, providing a backdrop for both individual and team navigation challenges.
Participants will receive a rogaine map to guide them as they attempt to locate as many control points as possible within the designated time frames. The two-hour event allows for solo participation, catering to those who prefer to navigate independently. In contrast, the four-hour option requires teams of 2 to 5 individuals, promoting collaboration and teamwork. Categories include Men, Women, Mixed, and Junior teams, reflecting a diverse range of participants.
The atmosphere is typically one of camaraderie and competition, with community involvement enhancing the experience. As participants traverse the varied terrain, they not only improve their fitness but also develop essential map reading and navigation skills, making this event suitable for both seasoned adventurers and newcomers alike.
