Auckland, Point England Reserve, Point England
The race
The event takes place at Point England, featuring a swim in the ocean adjacent to the beach, allowing participants to feel secure as they can typically stand during the short swim segment. The bike course utilizes Riverside Avenue and Dunkirk Road, while the running segment loops around Point England Reserve, offering a scenic and safe environment for all competitors.
Participants have the option to compete individually or as a two-person team, where one member handles the swim and bike portions, while both members complete the run. This structure encourages camaraderie and teamwork among young athletes.
Additionally, there is a ‘Splash n Dash’ aquathon for younger participants aged six, introducing them to the joys of multi-sport in a simplified format. The atmosphere is often lively and supportive, with community involvement fostering a sense of encouragement among competitors and spectators alike.
