The race
This event offers a vibrant atmosphere where young participants can engage in a healthy and active lifestyle. It features a swim leg held at the Hawke’s Bay Regional Aquatic Centre, ensuring a safe and controlled environment for youth swimmers. The subsequent bike and run segments occur within the well-organized Hawke’s Bay Regional Sports Park, providing a smooth transition between activities.
Participants have the option to compete individually or form teams of two, promoting collaboration while allowing for varied participation levels. The inclusion of a ‘Splash n Dash’ Aquathon for younger children adds an accessible element for the youngest competitors, catering specifically to those aged 6.
The race fosters community involvement, encouraging families and friends to cheer on the children, which enhances the event’s supportive atmosphere. This initiative not only emphasizes physical fitness but also instills a sense of achievement and camaraderie among young athletes.
