About this course
The Waimea Harriers Sprig & Fern 10km fun run/walk in Richmond offers a welcoming environment for participants of all abilities. Set against the scenic backdrop of the Nelson region, the event showcases local community spirit and encourages involvement from a diverse range of runners and walkers.
Logistically, registration opens at 1:20 pm and closes at 2:00 pm, with staggered starts to accommodate different paces. Casual walkers and early runners begin at 1:45 pm, while speed walkers and competitive runners start at 2:15 pm. The main group starts at 2:30 pm.
For those who prefer a shorter distance, the option to participate as a team, completing 5km each, is available, fostering camaraderie among participants. The entry fee is $10, with no charge for school children, youth students, or members of Waimea Harriers and Athletics Nelson.
