Sri Chinmoy Self-Transcendence 100K & 50K Ultra

The Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team will host its annual ultra marathon on 3 November 2024 at Hagley Park North in Christchurch. This event features a unique 2.5km loop course, allowing participants to experience the park’s scenic surroundings while engaging in a challenging race.

In 2024, the event includes both 100km and 50km races, with the 100km option available for solo runners or as part of a four-person relay team, where each member completes a segment of the course. Notably, the 100km and 50km races are recognized as IAU Bronze Label events and serve as the Athletics New Zealand National Championships for these distances. Athletes seeking to compete for championship titles must be registered through a New Zealand-affiliated athletics club.

Hagley Park, known for its expansive green spaces and picturesque landscapes, provides a fitting backdrop for this competitive event. Participants can expect to engage with a well-organized race structure while enjoying the natural beauty of the area. Post-race amenities and activities will also be available for runners and spectators.
