WMSC Biathlon Spring & Summer Series 15

The Biathlon Series organized by the Wairarapa Multisports Club takes place on Thursdays during the spring and summer months, aligning with daylight savings time. Participants can choose from a variety of Biathlon formats that combine cycling and running, with options available for both mountain biking and road cycling.

The running course is set with a turnaround point at 1.25 km for those completing the shorter distance. Entrants may participate individually or form two-person relay teams, fostering a collaborative atmosphere. For those interested in alternative formats, there are also run/walk and bike-only options available.

The event embraces inclusivity, welcoming participants of all skill levels. A staggered start system ensures that faster competitors set off last, allowing slower participants to enjoy the course without the pressure of being last.

Starting and finishing at the Henley Lake Mens Shed car park off Colombo Road, the venue facilitates seamless transitions between biking and running segments. The event not only promotes fitness but also strengthens community ties through local involvement and a shared passion for multisport activities.
