Barefoot XTRAIL Series: Starlight Makara

The Barefoot XTRAIL Series Starlight Makara Race, a part of an annual winter off-road trail running series, is scheduled to take place at Makara Peak, Karori on 21 June 2025. The race provides an opportunity to navigate through bush-clad trails, accompanied by numerous other participants equipped with head torches, under a starlit sky. This event does not focus on achieving personal best times but offers a unique experience exploring Wellington’s exceptional trails. The event has two course options available.

The event is organised by Barefoot Sport, and it’s part of the Barefoot XTRAIL Series. The next event in this series is on 6 July 2025 and the previous event took place on 8 June 2025. The distances for the individual events within this race are approximate.
