Kaukau Skyline Traverse

The Kaukau Skyline Traverse features a variety of races set against the backdrop of the western hills of Johnsonville, specifically along the Skyline Track. The course takes participants over Mt Kaukau, providing expansive views of the surrounding landscape.

The event includes multiple distances, each designed as ‘out and back’ routes with a designated turn-around point. The longest course presents an additional loop that adds complexity to the challenge.

This event encourages participation from all runners, whether affiliated with clubs or not. However, those competing in the championship must be registered with a Wellington club, wear their designated club uniform, and enter the appropriate race based on their age category.
