The Wings for Life World Run in Auckland features a unique format where there is no set finish line. Instead, participants run continuous 400m laps around the Go Media Stadium Mt Smart track. They must stay ahead of a virtual catcher car, which starts 30 minutes after the race begins and gradually increases its speed.
